UKG Pro WFM
Health Check
A structured review of your live UKG Pro WFM environment to identify misalignment, inefficiency, risk, and missed optimisation value.
If your system is live but no longer fully aligned to how your business operates, the issue is rarely obvious from day-today use alone. Our Health Check helps you identify what is underperforming, where value is leaking, and what to prioritise next.
- Fixed scope review
- Prioritised recommendations
- 50% credit against follow-on work

Fixed
Scope, cost, and timeframe – no surprises
Most UKG Pro WFM environments have been live for years. The business around them has changed. The configuration usually has not.
Why this matters
Live does not always mean aligned
Many UKG Pro WFM environments continue running long after the business around them has changed. New policies, evolving workforce models, workarounds, reporting gaps, and process drift can all reduce the value the platform delivers, even when the system appears to be functioning.
Configuration drift
Rules and setups no longer reflect current operational reality. What was right at go-live may now be creating friction, risk, orinaccuracy.
Manual workarounds
Teams compensate outside the platform, adding effort and inconsistency. Workarounds become embedded and invisible over time.
Reporting blind spots
Decision-makers lack the visibility they need. Reports that once served well may no longer reflect current workforce structures or policy.
Process friction
Managers and administrators spend too much time wrestling with the system. Effort that should sit with the platform falls to people instead.
Compliance exposure
Legacy setup choices may no longer support current obligations. Pay-impacting logic, timekeeping rules, and audit trails all carry risk if misaligned.
Missed optimisation value
Capability exists in the platform but is not being used effectively. Invested configuration and licensing value remains unrealised.
New features going unused
UKG Pro WFM continues to evolve. Most live environments are configured against an older version of the platform, leaving genuinely useful new functionality untouched – functionality that is already included in what you pay for.
The service
A focused review of how your UKG Pro WFM environment is really performing
The CDS Health Check is a fixed-scope advisory review designed for organisations already live on UKG Pro WFM. We assess whether the platform, supporting processes, and reporting outputs remain aligned to your current business requirements.
This is not a technical audit for its own sake. The review is structured around commercial and operational outcomes – where value is leaking, where risk exists, and where targeted improvement effort will make the biggest difference.
Typical review areas
- Configuration and rule alignment
- Scheduling and workforce policy setup
- Timekeeping and pay-impacting logic
- Reporting and visibility
- Integrations and data flow dependencies
- Administrative process efficiency
- User experience and adoption pain points
- Known workarounds and recurring issues
What you receive
Clear outputs, not vague observations
Every Health Check produces a structured, actionable set of findings – built for stakeholders who need to make decisions, not a technical report for the archive.
Findings summary
A structured view of what is working, what is not, and where risk or inefficiency exists across your UKG Pro WFM environment.
Prioritised recommendations
Practical next steps ranked by impact, urgency, and feasibility – so effort goes where it will make the most difference fastest.
Quick wins
Immediate opportunities to reduce friction, improve system performance, or correct configuration drift without wider project spend.
Forward roadmap
A clearer view of where targeted optimisation effort should go next – a foundation for confident planning rather than reactive firefighting.
Who it is for
This is for you if any of this sounds familiar
The Health Check is relevant wherever UKG Pro WFM performance has a direct impact on operations, compliance, or cost. If any of the following describes your situation, it is worth a conversation.
✓
Your system is live but you are not confident it still reflects how your business operates. Policies have changed, teams have restructured, or new obligations have emerged – but the configuration has not kept pace.
✓
You are seeing friction, workarounds, or manual effort that should not be there. Managers are compensating outside the system, payroll corrections are recurring, or your team spends more time managing the platform than using it.
✓
You are responsible for the platform but lack a clear picture of where it stands. You inherited the system, or it has grown organically over time, and you have no structured view of what is working, what is not, and what the risks are.
✓
You suspect you are not getting full value from what you have already paid for. UKG Pro WFM has continued to evolve since your go-live. New features, improved functionality, and better ways of doing things may already be available to you – but not configured.

Common questions
What you need to know
What is included in the UKG Pro WFM Health Check?
The Health Check covers configuration and rule alignment, scheduling and workforce policy setup, timekeeping and pay-impacting logic, reporting and visibility, integrations, administrative processes, user experience, and known workarounds. The scope is agreed with you at the outset.
Is this suitable if our system is already live and stable?
Yes. The Health Check is specifically designed for live environments. Stability in day-to-day use does not mean the configuration is still aligned to how your business operates. Drift is often invisible until it is reviewed directly.
How long does the Health Check take?
The timeframe depends on the scope agreed, but the process is fixed and structured. We will confirm the expected timeline during the initial conversation before any commitment is made.
Do we need to be a current CDS client?
No. The Health Check is open to any organisation currently live on UKG Pro WFM, regardless of whether CDS was involved in your original implementation.
Will CDS only identify issues, or also help fix them?
The Health Check produces findings and recommendations. If you choose to act on those findings, CDS can move into a separate optimisation engagement. The 50% credit option makes that a commercially sensible path.
What happens after the review?
You receive a structured findings report with prioritised recommendations and quick wins. From there you can act independently, engage CDS for follow-on work, or simply use the findings to inform your planning. There is no obligation to proceed further.
